The sleeper train from Cairo to Aswan takes about 14 hours, and the journey from Luxor to Cairo takes about 11 hours. To reduce your travel time, you can upgrade your trip package for about $295 per person to travel by domestic flight instead (about 1.5 hours).
Day 1:
Arrival in Cairo - Welcome to the Land of the Pharaohs Upon your arrival at Cairo International Airport, your tour manager will meet and assist you through the arrival procedures. You will then be escorted to your hotel in a deluxe air-conditioned vehicle. At the hotel, your tour manager will facilitate a smooth check-in process and review your vacation itinerary with you to confirm pick-up times for each tour.
Enjoy a welcome drink upon arrival.
Day 2:
Pyramids Tour / Train to Luxor After breakfast at the hotel in Cairo, check out and embark on a tour of the Giza Plateau. Visit the Great Pyramids of Cheops, Chefren, and Mykerinus, along with the iconic Sphinx and Valley Temple. Then, explore the Egyptian Museum to marvel at ancient artifacts before heading to Khan El Khalili, Cairo’s oldest bazaar, if time allows. In the evening, transfer to Giza railway station to catch the sleeper train to Luxor. Dinner will be served on board.

Day 3:
Luxor Sightseeing Upon arrival at Luxor train station, meet your Memphis representative and begin your Luxor excursion. Explore the Valley of the Kings, the Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut, and the Colossi of Memnon on the West Bank. Then, visit Luxor Temple and Karnak Temple on the East Bank before returning to your hotel.

Abu Simbel Temple Group Tour / Train to Cairo Start early with breakfast before departing for a group tour to Abu Simbel Temples. Explore the temples dedicated to Ramses II and Queen Nefertari. Return to Aswan and board the sleeper train to Cairo for overnight travel.
