Edfu temple, Komombo temple, Philae Temple, High Dam A morning collection from your hotel at 7 am.
Starting with a one and a half hour drive to the Edfu temple.
Edfu Temple was built during the Greek–Roman period of Egypt’s history, it was built for the falcon god Horus “god of protection” which is believed to be the 2nd largest temple in Egypt.
From here we will drive for an hour to Komombo Temple the only temple to be built for 2 gods, Sobek and Horus.
After a tour around this temple with time for you to browse we will leave for Aswan and the High Dam. We will leave the dam for the Philae Temple.
Dedicated to the goddess Isis, Philae Temple has a beautiful setting on an island in the river, which has been landscaped to match its original site.
A short motorboat ride takes you to the island where your Egyptologist will take you on a walking tour through the temple before allowing you free time to explore further on your own.
After a Nubian Lunch, we will drive back to Luxor a journey of approximately 2 1/2 hours.
